Hoakalei Master Plan Update Project     

Client:  Haseko (‘Ewa), Inc. 

PSI is preparing an environmental impact statement addressing the effects of implementing the Hoakalei Master Plan Update.   The plan calls for the existing basin to be completed as a recreational lagoon rather than as a marina and adjusts the arrangement of land uses on the 245 acres around the basin accordingly.

Ocean Pointe Marina Environmental Monitoring

Client:  Haseko (ʻEwa), Inc.

PSI completed weekly monitoring and quarterly reports on the marina excavation at Ocean Pointe, ‘Ewa, Hawaiʻi in compliance with Haseko’s Department of the Army Permit and NPDES construction permit.  PSI established groundwater monitoring wells in the project area to confirm that the excavation did not affect groundwater levels and water quality.  Currently, PSI is overseeing the ongoing monitoring of the marina water quality and ecosystems.

Papipi Road Drainage Improvements  Integrated Planning

Client:  Haseko (ʻEwa), Inc.

PSI integrated the civil engineering and other consulting efforts, prepared the environmental assessment, and drafted the land use permit applications (Dept. of Army Permit; Conservation District Use Permit, etc.) for Haseko’s effort to develop the drainage system for the residential areas adjacent to its Ocean Pointe development, ‘Ewa, O‘ahu.  (2007)

Zoning and State Land Use District Boundary Amendments, Maunaloa, Moloka‘i, Hawai‘i

Client:  Molokai Ranch, Ltd.

PSI was responsible for drafting and submitting the applications for zoning and land-use classification changes needed to subdivide a group of parcels on Moloka‘i Ranch property.  (2003)

Dolphin Lagoon Expansion Feasibility Study, Hilton Waikoloa Hotel, Waikoloa Beach Resort, South Kohala, Hawai‘i Island, Hawai‘i

Client:  Hilton Waikoloa Hotel

This study was aimed at determining the construction feasibility, cost, and permitting feasibility of providing additional water area and associated shore facilities for the hotel’s dolphin program.  This involved documenting the specific environmental and operational requirements of the dolphin program and hotel. In addition, PSI prepared conceptual site plans and a conceptual construction plan.   (1999)
